Hi! I'm Shruti Bhiwandiwala
a Mumbai-based cross-disciplinary designer and artist with over five years of experience in the communications space.
As a strategic creative, my goal is to think analytically about the audience and the end goal of a project and build elements that work effectively for branded communications. I have worked as a journalist, a graphic designer, a book editor, and a departmental communications specialist.
Presently, I work as a senior graphic designer and website manager for Acumen, a non-profit global impact investment firm working to tackle the problems of poverty. In this capacity, I lead design for our global brand and direction for website UI updates and routine changes. I help define the visual identity for Acumen across all our online and offline platforms and have led the art direction on multiple social and fundraising campaigns and events.
My qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Mass Media (Mumbai), a master’s degree in English Literature (Mumbai), and a master’s degree in Advertising from Boston University (USA). I also recently completed a UI Design course with The New School. I am passionate about mental health, queer rights, and global development. Given my curious tendencies, I'm always trying to learn a new art form, but I've recently focused on honing my skills in painting, and papercutting, along with writing and performing poetry.
